I would imagine there are other issues With your friends, if minor, that add up to make you feel that way. Seems a little overkill to hold someone to only that standard. Being partiers or addicts or inconsiderate is one thing, but would you simply give up a great friend for being late? Myself, for instance, I get anxious sometimes and think a lot which causes me to be late. I don't do it on purpose, but am more mindful of it if it seems like it's becoming a habit. With that said, I had a friend who was a gym bro who was always late, but it was always because of his girlfriend or something really selfish...so I could see where you're coming from with a person like that. Could always get a table before your friend arrives...but I agree mostly. People should be more thoughtful.
