First of all you are not a bitch, if you were you wouldn't care about his feelings. It is absolutely ridiculous to call someone who can't break up with someone a bitch.
Relationships need to have the best friend element too, so it's not like there's nothing there. A lot of relationships are only the 'romantic' part and not the 'best friend' part, and no one calls a girl a bitch for staying in these types of relationships. Do what you gotta do, which has to come down to what makes you happy. But if it makes you happier to stay with him because it would make you sad to hurt his feelings, then there you go.
You sound like a really nice person and there is no black and white answer to any problem. Follow your heart, you'll both recover either way and it'll be a life lesson.
