Totally norm. You guys probably do want to be with eachother but there might have been disfunction in the relationship that you guys are afraid to get back into. So it's probably for the best that you stay away from eachother. The one thing I find weird is that you are both monogamous to eachother even though you are not an item. The best way to get over the relationship is to fall in love with someone else.
