I don't mind them. In fact, their song "What Makes You Beautiful" is actually a great song. Unfortunately they recorded it. If it were recorded by a band like Muse or Coldplay, no-one would complain. But because 1D made it, everyone hates it.
I don't like 1D but I don't cringe everytime their music comes on. It's just bland pop music and it's less offensive than the worst modern genre, rap. I have to leave the room when rap comes on.
