  • The top area known as "the forest" has been completely destroyed. They called it the forest because it took a forest worth of trees to build. It was the oldest part of the structure if I'm not mistaken and was built in the 11th century. So that aged wood is irreplaceable in a sense. Im sure they will rebuild it to wondrous condition again, but it wont be the same, nor will some of the areas, such as "the forest" hold nearly as much gravity when you look at it, no longer will be the nearly thousand year old wood.

    and I mean sure if someone blew up the pyramids of Egypt we might be able to rebuild it, but you can see how it would be terrible. ( obviously the pyramids would be a worse tragedy) But Notre dam is one of the more famous and historically significant chapels in the entire world so it shouldn't be under estimated just how big of a deal it burning halfway to the ground is
