I don't care about the death of others

I really don't care about people I know/don't know dying, they're just dead. Why should I sympathize for them when in the end I just roll my eyes?. I'm there just in my head like " Yep they're a goner, didn't know and didn't care. ", yes I know it probably isn't normal to laugh about death but why should I go caring when the person who is dying is just irrelevant to me?

IIN?

Because one day you’ll be one of them.

    Oh but you do care...

Otherwise it wouldn’t register an emotion strong enough to make you laugh.

How do you feel about your own mortality? Because if death just doesn’t scare you at all I’d understand why you’re so indifferent to the thought of others dying.

    The laughing part isn't normal

It's normal to not be as affected about the deaths of strangers as people you know, but not normal to roll your eyes or laugh. That seems like a complete lack of empathy towards the people who are suffering from the loss.

I think for most people, they think "Oh, well that's too bad", feel empathy for the family, and then move on. At least that is how I am. It is sad, especially for the loved ones they left behind, but it is an inevitable part of life that happens on a daily basis and we have to move on. If we were as upset about every stranger's death as we are about people we know and are close to, we'd never experience happiness.
