I discuss goldfish any time i get the chance? iin?

I don't know why, I don't even particularly care for goldfish more than other creatures, I just seem to always use them for conversation.

If someone says, "Hey, how are you?" I'll commonly respond with, "I'm okay but my goldfish is better" Or if someone says, "Nice shirt", I'll respond with, "Thank you but my goldfish's shirt is better"

Even when I'm in my apartment with my dog, I'll be sat there, he'll bark and I'll say, "what is it now? did you lose your goldfish?"

IIN? Anyone commonly use something like goldfish in their sentences? I do this at least 10 times a day.

Is It Normal?
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • If someone says, "I'm okay but my goldfish is better" or "Thank you but my goldfish's shirt is better" I'll usually respond with, "My speargun trigger finger is getting itchy. Where is this goldfish?"

  • What's with you and goldfish? If you said that to me, I'd ask you if you've been smoking recently? XD

  • I did this with great reason too, because it was when the greatest fish that ever lived was alive. While she may be gone, she'll live on in our hearts. That's how many lives she touched.

    • "That shit ain't gold 4 reel!!!"

You see, there's your problem. It wasn't a magical golden fish, it was a dried up turd painted to look like a magical golden fish. Why the heck did you let that fish deceive you?! Go back there and skin him alive!!!!

  • This is too funny. When I was younger I did something similar. I used to always talk about chicken.

  • Yeah, I talked about my bird all the time.
    Bbbiiirrrrrrdddd GOOO!!
And I frequently lace my conversations with references, although usually a bit more subtly.
