I did it in the early days of my alcoholism. Smashed a DVD player and punched a hole in the apartment door. Repressed rage, I guess. Finally got sober some years later, after many more drunken, destructive scenarios. If you can't stop yourself from taking the first drink, there's no way you can stop yourself from taking the second, third, fourth, etc.
