yes this is normal because as a child, you have had to make such difficult decisions on your own birthday! i think that is totally unfair for you, but i say you should give it a shot. now your older and you can have both parents if they would agree to it. or you can say screw both of you and just have friends at your party. if its a good enough party, you will just forget about your parents. your 18, its time to stop letting your parents dictate your life, make a few decisions on your own and on your terms. in short, yes its normal but i think you need to (please dont be offended, this is just for lack of a better term) grow a pair, and show those bitches how to party.
