Thats about the age when I stopped doing things for mine. Actually, I think I lost interest doing things for mine when I was around 13 as well. Don't worry, there's nothing wrong with that. Some people like to throw a big party, make a big deal about things, and some people don't.
However, I do get excited to go out to dinner for my birthdays. Its always nice to go to a fancy restaurant and buy something you usually don't get everyday. Something like lobster. And the desserts are usually way better than just a regular cake you'd get any other time, you know. Big parties aren't really my thing, so I'm not the type to have a bunch of people over just for my birthday. And I don't really like to be showered in gifts like I did when I was little. Dinner is usually enough for me.
One time I specifically told my sister I didn't want the people to come over and sing happy birthday, because I thought it would draw too much attention to the table and be embarrassing. Well, she did anyway. I think that was my 16th birthday, and I remember being so angry at her for doing that.
By the way, Happy Eighteenth Birthday!!!! And if I am too late, Happy Belated Birthday!!!! I hope everything turned out fine. :)
i cant handle my birthdays
