He Is talking about the rapes that occurred after the war (biggest rape in history) by soviets, not the rapes of the Jews. I was using what happened to the Jews in general as a (more well known) parallel, to understand how you think it's creepy to have empathy for something.
And my response to that fits into what your parallel is; with all that happened why is it exclusively the rape part that's constantly in his head.
Look at it this way. Say you have a ton of documentaries that involve but are not exclusive to the raping of people, and with each documentary they skip/fast forward to the rape parts/scenes/recreations because that's what's on their mind. Would you not find such a person creepy?
You seem to think he is talking about rape in general. The rape was a separate occurrence. It was not a "rape part". look it up, and try to imagine how you'd feel if someone you care about had to go through that.
