Not to speak for ItDuz, but anyone who obsesses that much about anything should probably seek some help. Sounds like something that would burn a person out pretty quickly.
Yes but how is that "creepy"? he is trying to act as though the OP is sexually fantasising about rape when in reality OP is saying he feels sad for its victims.
But if this said "I can't stop obsessing over WWII concentration camps" and inside saying how badly they feel for everything that happened to those people, no one would dare call it "creepy" or even a"morbid interest". It is empathy, even if excessive.
What I mean is im pretty sure he's calling it creepy for the reason I mentioned above, since he keeps emphasising that it's rape; which actually makes HIM kinda creepy for thinking of it in a purely sexual way, rather than the violent side, and it's emotional affect (which is what the op is referring to).
He Is talking about the rapes that occurred after the war (biggest rape in history) by soviets, not the rapes of the Jews. I was using what happened to the Jews in general as a (more well known) parallel, to understand how you think it's creepy to have empathy for something.
And my response to that fits into what your parallel is; with all that happened why is it exclusively the rape part that's constantly in his head.
Look at it this way. Say you have a ton of documentaries that involve but are not exclusive to the raping of people, and with each documentary they skip/fast forward to the rape parts/scenes/recreations because that's what's on their mind. Would you not find such a person creepy?
You seem to think he is talking about rape in general. The rape was a separate occurrence. It was not a "rape part". look it up, and try to imagine how you'd feel if someone you care about had to go through that.

Umm, no? What's creepy about empathising with people? Is it also "creepy" to feel sad about what happened to jews during WWII?

Again I can't speak for him but, maybe what he means is that it seems like a morbid interest?

It all depends on how you want to interpret it.
He's not specifically feeling sorry for what Jews went through, he's only said he thinks about the rapes that happened.

You didn't answer the question.
He Is talking about the rapes that occurred after the war (biggest rape in history) by soviets, not the rapes of the Jews. I was using what happened to the Jews in general as a (more well known) parallel, to understand how you think it's creepy to have empathy for something.
