I can't focus and feel restless while studying

Every time I try to sit down to study I feel really restless and I have to move like my hands or legs or fidget, anything. I can't focus. I did really bad in my exam. It wasn't this bad. It kinda started when I was 13, it's worse now. Sometimes I also have trouble focusing on other things.

Learning a trade will get you a job easier than a useless liberal arts degree, saying this is trolling and "retarted"?

It's "retarded", learn to read and spell properly.

How the fuck did you get "liberal arts degree" out of any of this? You do realise there is more than one area of study, right?

Also, trades still require "schoolwork" as you say, from my own experience; and are equally likely to get you a job as a degree, only difference being that the degree gets you way more money (obviously).

Do you even have a job, or are you like 14?

Yeah, go to college to get a degree for an oversaturated job market, instead of learning a useful skill that can't be outsourced to india.

Seems like you are the retarted one, and you're also probably gay since we're just throwing offensive insults around.

"Gay" isn't an "offensive insult" to anyone but inbred rednecks like yourself. Good to know I hurt your feelings with the truth though, lmao.

So, you have no job? or are you perhaps in the shit-shoveling "trade" for the family farm?

This sounds like something quite a few people would probably be able to relate to. It's still not ideal, though, so maybe talking to someone about it could help you find what's causing it or ways to make the studying easier.

I have this problem as well, I can't read more than a few paragraphs or so without getting distracted. I find concentrating very difficult most of the time. Soon I will be getting a diagnosis for ADD by a psychologist. That being said; you could possibly have ADD (Attention-deficit disorder) or even ADHD, which is the same thing as ADD but an H is added (H meaning Hyperactive). If this becomes a problem I recommend that you should notify your doctor about it and see if he/she can help you in any way.

Running to big pharma isn't always the answer. Try increasing your iodine intake. A supplement might be required but not necessary.

DU de totally get u, so they say.. it's ADD, then they give u meds that "control" it, but the good thing is its reversable naturally too.. your mind is clouded up .. it's foggy .. get away.. drive/ walk somewhere peaceful of ur liking .. take a notebook a pen .. and a lighter.. write everything everything everything that's ever in n out of ur mind, whatever is inside u write it all
When you feel you're "session" is done burn it
And let it all go into ashes
Next time you will be able to concentrate
    ;)

    -I hope you try it

Attention is a skill that can be trained, and is a rare one these days. I recommend you set a timer for a half hour, and in that time don't open a single tab or check your phone or anything—just study.

It will be hard at first, but when that timer goes off you won't want to stop.

Keep waiting for interesting work to make motivation easy and you'll be covered in dust. Only after you force motivation out can the work become stimulating.

Then you need to seek greater challenges. A guy with a heck of a name, Csikszentmihalyi, made a flow model that might interest you. Attention is effortless during flow, but painstaking during boredom.

Good question. Unless you in such a bad neighborhood that going outside will get you killed. But if that's not the case why can't you go outside?

Schoolwork is not interesting or helpful. Its a waste of time. Better off learning a skill than studying. If you must waste your time with academics, try adderall. And a lot.
