    My 80ish mother was afraid to bite directly into apples.

    Because in her day apples actually contained WORMS sometimes.

    To this day I quarter and pare the seeds out - only because easier to eat.

    That might have just reinforced your fear...sorry!

      im allways scare some worm or something will be in my apple so i think its normal.
