I've started sleeping better since I've started a yoga routine. But now I can't stay asleep.

Masterbate or have sex before you attempt to sleep. Should do the trick if you do it right.

Sorry can't. I am single and have a child. That wouldn't work. You advice is a appreciated though.

Having a child doesn't mean being without any sexual pleasure. What's stopping you from masturbating. If the child is sleeping with you that is probably the root cause of your sleeplessness. Time to end that, if that's the case.

It's still a terrible habit to have her sleep with you. Try nightlights. Being single woildn't stop you from masturbating so I am not sure what that has to do with it.

Try to wean her out of this.

Sure. I think on some nights she could sleep with me sometimes. Do you think that would be OK?

I take Trazodone. It's an old style anti-depressant that is often prescribed off-label for insomnia. It's very cheap and it's non addictive. It doesn't really have any side effects other than making you very sleepy. Take one of those babies a half hour before bed and you sleep like a baby. Most Dr's would not hesitate to give it to you as it is non-addictive and safe. It is not a controlled substance either. It won't make you high. But it will make you sleep. Not like sleeping pills which are addictive. I highly recommend it.

Don't eat sugary foods and drinks before bed. Go to bed at the same time every day. Don't use any devices before bed that emit a blue light. Get 7-8 hours of sleep.

I have issues with insomnia as well. A belt of bourbon and reading before bed is the best thing ive found. Not a fan of pills myself even the all natural ones.

            • I take valerian off and on. Don’t be put off by the smell, if you have capsules they don’t taste like anything, and they’ve worked for me after a few days.

  • Start exercising and turn off your PlayStation, smartphone, TV, laptop, and iPad and whatever other toys you have.

      • Get on a routine and stick to it. IE no devices after 8pm except for some tv. Go to bed at the same time every night. Read a book in bed and leave your stuff in another room and you’ll be fine in a few days.
