I bite the skin around my nails

I do it just about every day. Some say it's a nervous habit, but I do it even when I'm the most calm, like just before I fall asleep at night. There's not a worry in the world I have, but I've been doing it for 10+ yrs. Totally normal.

while you biting your nails or the skin around nails you get into your body millions of bacterias and worm eggs.

i used to bite the skin around my ex's uncut shlong. after that he didn't bug me for Bj's anymore.

My sister did that until she ruined her nail beds. They look awful. The MD put her on Effexor and she quit.

Normal. I do it too. I was actually doing it right before I read this.

I think it's an OCD deal. I'm from a long line of pickers. My dad picked his ear all the time and my sister picks her cuticles until they bleed. Put something that tastes bad like that alcohol handwash.

I do this too, but mine is mostly due to my OCD. I hate it!

i bite the skin around my thumb nails mostly. i love to bite the "hang nail" skin. And pull/bite it off. It usually bleeds. Hurts so good. Sometimes i need a band aid for a day or so. But usually not. Sometimes I do this to the other edges of my pinkie fingers. But my inner thumb beds are so irresistible. 2 x's per week at least! Some times people notice and ask me "what happened?" and I usually answer..."oh nervous habbit, that's all..." and no one really seems to care. Except my manicurist.
