I was watching that Ariana Grande video for "Thank you, next" and honestly, it's just kind of another run-of-the-mill, mediocre pop song. But there's sooooo many songs that are like that, just lifeless, minimal effort, garbage. I honestly think of girls like her weren't that pretty, no one would really care. Just listen to that song, close your eyes, and imagine what you consider a really unattractive girl singing that song, do you still like it?

    I wouldn't use Ariana Grande as an example here, because she actually has a really good voice. Sure, the stuff she uses it on is mediocre, though.

    Anyway, your main point is right. I don't give a shit about a lot of artists, because I'm not listening to music to ogle.

    It's "board room rock", created in corporate music board rooms to sell sell sell. The quality of music doesn't matter, as long as the girls are young, hot, sexy, and sell records and concerts. Few, if any, have actual talent.

    Believe it or not, I do think Brittany has talent and like her voice. She has some range. Most of the rest, especially current? Not a shred of talent other than being born with good looks and a hot body.

    Of course because someone had to get favors to increase their notoriety. Natural selection on these things. Now if you want to feel important on stage get rockband on the wii and rock out.
