I believe i have gender dysphoria i don't know what to do

  • Firstly, well done for identifying in the first place that you have an issue. Not everyone who has gender dysphoria actually realises it's a mental illness.

    Now the bad news. As much as you want to have the body of a woman, you will never truly be one. No-one else will pretend that you are a woman even if you want to. I genuinely feel sorry for you and I can't imagine the emotions which run through your head on a daily basis... it must be hell.

    If we think about gender dysphoria as a mental illness, which is what it is, we can treat it the same as we treat schizophrenia or kleptomania, i.e. with cognitive behavioural therapy.

    I advise you to take this path in order to deal with your issues, so that you avoid doing something tragic and unnecessarily hurting the people closest to you who love you and care.

    • This comment is a hell of a lot more compassionate then what I would have come up with. Kudos to you Englishlad. I couldn't articulate something with half the empathy.
