You should really be sure you are ready for the commitment of transitioning, because you have to be ready for the fact that your results very well may not be what you had in mind. Perhaps when you have been on hormones for a while you may still feel the same way when you look in the mirror, and you may still feel not as manly/feminine enough as you hoped.
Then if you decide it's not what you wanted there's the added embarrassment of DE-transitioning. Then you may want to detransition but you dont want to admit that the people that told you not to do it were right. Then you could wind up stuck in this gender that you dont want. Because you want to avoid the humiliation of De-transitioning.
I think some people, especially other trans people, are abit too quick to tell people to transition. I think you should think about all the possible outcomes before embarking on this major life decision.
