I became obsessed with one of my best friends

So my best friends mean the world to me, but of them is a girl who we'll refer to as "Betty" for purpose-sake. She has always been one of my best friends but she and her boyfriend became the homecoming king and queen and now i'm completely obsessed with her. Before i cared a lot for her but for the past year i haven't been able to stop thinking about her. I'm also very good friends with her boyfriend but i'm also extremely jealous of him and how she clearly loves him. Now I'm going to the same college as her and I haven't really been attracted to any other girl but her at this point in time and now i want to know if this is love or if this is an obsession that is to torment me for years to come. Is this normal at all....?

    Well, love is a noticeable feeling if you feel it, but if you mean that you're obsessed because she was homecoming queen maybe you subconsciously think you can get fame from being around her, or maybe you're zealous and 'want to be' her. If you're jealous of her boyfriend and you've been friends for a long time, you're probably just clingy, like it's a toned-down version of your mom divorcing and getting a new boyfriend, spending every weekend with him and you get jealousy over that boyfriend...eh, i'm babbling. just think about how you feel and then you can decide what it really easy. think hard.

    if she is a good friend then there is no harm but if she doesnt realize how much you care for her as a friend and she treats you like dirt then no its not normal.
