  • Me too, I was pretty sad to hear that considering I've been on there since about the mid to late 2000's. It was definitely troll infested and seemed to have gone pretty dead in certain topics, but it still held a place of nostalgia for me and going through some of my old posts and answers brought back so many memories I had forgotten about. It was nice to look back on how the person I was 10 years ago saw things.

I also think there aren't nearly enough general question asking sites that are any good. This is one of the few ones. I dislike Quora because it's kind of weirdly set up IMO and you don't have anonymity unless you use a fake name, plus it seems like it's more of a place where people try to show off and thump their chests more than anything. Reddit is okay, but certain Subreddits suck (especially with the crap where they have a million ridiculous rules for posting and delete posts for the most stupid reasons) and there's definitely an issue with hive mind/herd mentality (though I guess you can say that applies to many sites and even in real life sometimes). I wish there was also a way to have a private post history on there since some butthurt weirdos on there are obsessed with digging up people's post history and trying to twist things or insult them.
