      You're right and I suppose he's understandably confused about the label. But we should also emphasize that he's totally normal.

        It's not normal if he's gonna lie, and identify as a straight. If he can be honest, and admit to being bisexual or straight then what he is feeling can be described as normal. One can't have one's cake, and eat it too.

        A large majority of my friends in college were gay men who were out so I have little patience for the whole in the closet double life thing. It's not good for the closeted person nor is it good for the people with whom they end up being romantically involved.

          You call it lying and I call it confusion. I have had discussions with, and have been with, many men in his situation who insist on calling themselves straight rather than bisexual. It's undoubtedly rationalization given the lack of interest in anything but the given acts. But once you admit to desiring acts that only another man can perform, well, you're bisexual.
