It's an interesting phenomenon where people say how most Muslims are nice because they oppose or dislike terrorism.

To hate is never good because if you hate then hate will spread and you will be no better then those who hate you. But if you love those who hate you then love will spread.

These two beliefs seem entirely distinct and unrelated, so no there is not a conflict between the two. That said it is NOT normal to hate a religion so much that you want to see all followers eradicated. When you have these thoughts, remember that they are people just like you and are in many cases women or children.
