Personally, I think this is pretty normal. I for the most part feel the same way. Its exactly the same for me at work. They all go on about their everyday lives and other boring things, yet the things I talk about or are into just goes over their heads. Granted generation gaps may apply but even still, they think everyone wants to know details of their own lives and totally ignor those of other (not just myself). I think we all need to find our own nich in life. Unfortunatly its usually never at work... But no, I would definitely say you are not 'weird' or anything like. I completely value my privacy and 'alone' time, but do enjoy time with friends. I just don't need a million friends like most seem to do. I think that a few really good & close friends are worth more than a million. Quality over quantity.
