People should be reminded that the Jews are not the only ones though-out history that have gone through tremendous suffering. More people in the US would become aware of this fact, if they weren't so self-involved, and chose not to ignore most of what goes on outside of their own borders.
Even more so, the Jews that are alive today are not the ones suffering, it was their ancestors. If anything, they've become highly successful, thanks largely in part to the United States.
However, the Jews practically own Hollywood, which is why we see movie after movie reminding us about the pain and suffering they themselves never felt. Or better yet, reminding us that before they were really old enough to understand any of it, Jews were treated badly half way across the globe.
And, since many Americans believe that Israel is the "Holy Land", the Jews today themselves practically own the US. Leave the United States, and you won't hear about the Jews and their "suffering" anymore.
