  • Nothing wrong with watching cartoons, especially now. if anything,
they are better than they ever were, with well written stories and characters, with not only the humor the kids will enjoy, but also with jokes that parents and other adults will get and laugh at. (look up "parental bonus")

    *history lesson below*

cartoons were anything but kid-friendly until the 1960s, when they toned them down and started making tons of low-quality programming aimed just for kids. (im looking at you, Hanna-Barbera)

things have turned around starting in 87, thanks in part to the disney films. since then, cartoons have been better written, and the writers have been good at slipping jokes in that the parents watching will enjoy. in the early 90s, adults were writing to cartoon producers stating that they would watch their kids favorite shows to see what they are watching. thats when the networks realized, "hey! adults are a viable audience too!", and as a response, they improved the quality of them, and started adding "parental bonuses" so that the adults could enjoy it as well as the kids. (which also allows more kids to watch it cause the parents will be less likely to change the channel) cartoons have almost returned to the "golden age" in the 40s and 50s, albeit with less booze, gunshots, and explosives. in short, cartoons are not just for kids, theyre good for people of all ages.

and if this dont convince you, look at the massive anime community, the brony fandom (my little pony FIM), the adventure time fanbase, the pokemon fans, avatar the last airbender/legend of korra, classic disney and looney tunes, popeye, betty boop etc.

the numbers are in the thousands (anime, bronies, and adventure time number in the millions)

now, go enjoy your cartoons, i know i will (and im 21)
