I’m a 42 year old woman. Our youngest child recently left home. My husband says now they have finally both flown the nest this should be our time to enjoy each other before we are too old. This is his idea, amongst others, to spice up our sex lives. The problem is whilst I am up for a bit of excitement, it always seems to be me that has to be out of my comfort zone or doing something I find embarrassing.
Yes of course, his response is that it’s not his fault that it’s always the woman that has to do these things. He claims that’s just how society works, women have to be sexy and provocative, whilst men are the providers and protectors.
I told him no one provides for me, we both work full time, I pay half the bills and do about 75% of the cleaning and cooking, all the grocery shopping and all the laundry. What exactly is he providing for me or protecting me from!
His response was, ok if it makes me happy he will put on a dress with no underwear next time we go out and I can wear my jeans. How the hell does he think him dressing like a freak is going to solve anything, and why would he think I would want to be seen with him dressed like that!
No offense, but your husband sounds like a real piece of work, and a jerk to boot.
I think if he he wants to spice things up with you he should take you out for a proper date night once a week, and buy you some sexy SILK underwear, and not that tacky crotchless satin polyester garbage. Never do anything that you don't want to do in order to please another person, it's simply not worth it!
