    I can assure you that Sandy Hook does exist. I have anchored there and driven there by boat and car. It is just outside NY harbor on the north tip of NJ.

        No, no, it's a real place in NJ. Why would they name a school in Conn after a place in NJ? That makes no sense.

              Probably like how Texas (and most other states) has Paris envy or whatnot. Or maybe people just have no creativity when naming things. Take your pick.
