I’m incredibly frustrated and distraught

For the past couple of months I’ve contacted over 20 different people about finding a Sphynx kitten. I have absolutely no preference for them, I just really like the breed and would like to have a cat again. However I can never find one that isn’t being sold for $1,500-$2000 dollars. These cats tend to either not be kittens or are so purebred and cream of the crop that you can’t negotiate the price.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

Any pedigree animal is a bad choice. They're always the result of some degree of inbreeding, and that always causes some sort of problems. In the case of Sphynx cats, that's heart disease.

Also, people being willing to pay crazy money for currently fashionable animals always results in unscrupulous people treating breeding animals in disgusting ways.

If you want a cat, get a kitten or adult cat from a shelter before it's killed. If you want to own a status symbol, choose something that doesn't have a pulse.

I rescue pit bulls Staffordshire terriers and Rottweiler's I am great with doggies n make them happy assured good family pets in a month o so. Romeo is a lover never a fighter, Magnum is serious about being Alpha dog Brutus is a sweet boy who plays nice with all non aggressive animals. Lucky, rusty, Max,Smoky and Micky are good doggies too. God just sends them to me to rehabilitate I have rehomed so many because I can not keep them all. God Dog I love God Dog Doggies. Why do the girls love me because they should love a heroic fearless doer of good deeds. I go on missions for God with his Angel above me protecting and directing my every move.

Get a rescue kitten if you don't have a preference. There are cats being euthanised in overcrowded shelters every single day, especially now because it's the holiday season.

If you have no preference for them, what's the problem? Get a rescue cat.

Or admit that you do have a preference and suck it up and realise that that is what the going rate forthem is. For whatever reason, chicken wing cats are an expensive breed. Most pure bred animals are expensive, some more than others.

Yes, they are no cheap. It's best to find a dependable breeder introduced by your friends or vets, because some breeders would inbreed the purebred cats and sale at a high price. The purebred probably have lots of hereditary diseases that would be painful in their whole life. So, I will choose to adopt a rescue cat or spay cat.

They are expensive, because they are rare.
