I’m addicted to being better then everyone?

I didn’t wanna sound all cocky about this but I just wanted to feel as if anybody understood me?
I always feel the need to be better then everyone, I know my limits and I try not to overrate my talent but sometimes I think that I could possibly do better then someone.

Like for example if someone plays the piano I’ll go and try to learn piano just to try and be the best at piano, the same thing goes for every subject in school: math, science, social studies etc.

It’s kinda like I’m addicted to learning and trying to be better then everyone?

Does anyone else have this problem? I can’t help but get jealous over someone when I see them do something better then me.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

So you're hyper competitive. That's what it sounds like to me, not a bad thing, not a good thing either.

Learning a little humility may go a long way if you are that competitive.

I HAVE TO agree with Rose. Maybe you should work on your writing and communication skill. Nothing wrong with being competitive , but if you are telling people things like "I'm gonna do that better than you, I'm gonna get higher score", or just the boasting kind of thing, in school that will end up getting you a very good better than everybody else ass beat down by other people get tired of hearing that stuff real quick. Some will do something and then tell you about it.

You're not addicted to having better writing skills.

They didn't say they were better, just that they wanted to be. Totally normal.
