It shouldn't be since you two had a pre-existing relationship as long as you two make it known to the higher-ups of the college. In the end though it depends, the college is allowed to make up those rules and apply them how they see fit. If you are looking at maybe attending that college, you and your boyfriend should probably explain the situation first and get a definitive answer.
