sooo i’m 21 and the guy i’ve been seeing is 28. i’m currently at a community college and i’m transferring to a 4 year in the fall. the guy i’m seeing has a full time job and recently got offered a teaching postition at a community college (not the one i go to but another one) is this wrong or illegal? i get mixed opinions on this. like if someone found out would he get fired? he talks to me about it like it’s “hot” but i really don’t know the rules surrounding it...

As long as he isn't your professor then it should be fine. It's not really illegal, but a lot of colleges have rules against professors dating their students since it can be a conflict of interest. You shouldn't have anything to worry about as long as you don't start attending the college he teaches at.

    It shouldn't be since you two had a pre-existing relationship as long as you two make it known to the higher-ups of the college. In the end though it depends, the college is allowed to make up those rules and apply them how they see fit. If you are looking at maybe attending that college, you and your boyfriend should probably explain the situation first and get a definitive answer.

xxLucifer has it right. As long as they aren't your professor I believe it's legally acceptable. You should still look into the laws in your area regarding the matter though just to be on the safe side.

    Depending on your area there should be a site stating the laws regarding educator/student relationships. So long as you don't find anything that links you and your partner then you have nothing to fear :)
