I turned 20 yesterday, and I’m attracted to a 17 year old. Firstly, is it weird to be attracted to them? I’m considering pursuing a relationship. Where I live, 16 is the age of consent. Would that be weird?
I think it's interesting that you equate relationship with sex. It's almost like you can't imagine a reality where you're in love with someone and not fucking them.
I just knew people would bring up the legality issue, so I thought I should thrown in that it is perfectly legal here.
I mean, in this day of age people want to test out the goods before marriage so it's a pretty integral part of relationships now. I mean you dont want to go through all the effort in a relationship just to find out that you are sexually incompatible.
I get that, but a relationship is so much more than sex. I mean, people breaking up (or couples divorcing) because their sex life turned stale tells me that they were never really together in the first place. It's like people use sex to glue their relationship together and once that stops the whole thing falls apart.
Dont do it. Dont fuck them until they are 18. If they just turned 17 dont do it period. While age of concent is 16 its can still be construed as rape of a minor if you piss that person off at any point. So dont fuck with anyone under the age of 18.

Today's 16/17 year old girl is like yesterdays 20/21 year old girl. There is really no to little difference between a the ages of 16 to 20. Someone who looks hot looks hot. Its just a fact. Being attracted to someone hot is not abnormal. It would be abnormal not to be attracted to a hottie. Actually someone who says they are not attracted to someone just because they are a few months under the age of 18 is a not being truthful. As long as it legal then go for it.
Totally normal. Here in Greece it's legal at 15. I'm 21 and last year I had sex with a 15 and a 16 year old. Both of them were not virgins as well.
Is it ok to be attracted to someone underage? Yes. Is it ok to act on it?
If you want a relationship with them, go ahead! It's only 3 years. But if you want to go further meaning sex, You might want to wait until they are at least 19 so they can live their teenage years to the fullest and not have to worry about virginity and all that crap.
Not weird, but check local laws. However, you are okay on the "half your age plus 7" rule. (20 / 2) + 7 = 17.
I've never heard of such a rule. However, I have heard of the +/-4 years laws. Many states have laws that allow minors to have sexual relations with people less than 5 years older than them.
