I've had a difficulty with telling people that I have to use the toilet for a very long time. At camp, I used to hold it in and deliberately drink less fluids because I just do panicked about people finding out that I had to use the bathroom. Once, we were in the woods and I told a counsellor that I needed to use the toilet. This counsellor said that hole group had to go back and just as I feared, people got angry at me. I then suggested that someone simply accompany me (we weren't allowed to use the toilet unescorted), thus preventing my peers being enraged at me.
Once I went to a family reunion, and I ended up holding my urine for the majority of the day because I didn't want to admit that I had to use the toilet. Well, I waited until I was about to burst to use it.
I never EVER have bowel eliminations when in public, it's always been urine, at least that I can remember. I think part of this my be due to my social anxiety/agoraphobia and my fear of public toilets.
