Just curious what people think is the right age to be having sex. At what age do you believe someone is old enough to consent to sex with an adult(someone 18 or older),( not within a certain age range such as an adult up to 24) but sex with any aged adult.

I would say 18 since at 18 you can get a full time job and support a kid if you have any "Accidents" but I think ideal it would have to do with circumstances. Like does your partner have a full time job and can support kids or you yourself if you have any accidents and not make the tax payer money pay for your screw up? For dating I believe its the mental maturity of the child. I think some kids are just very mature for their age and some are not.
That is not in places with child labor laws like the US for example. In the US they place a lot of restrictions on people getting work below the age of 18. In the Us you can only get a age 16. For people under 18 to do so you need a work permit.
Most of the time you are forced to get a permit from the schools. Which often the school restrict to students who have A and B grades. Which I personally think does not make any sense since students with A and B grade probably need it a lot less than C, D, F students who are more likely to not make it to college, or wont be able to afford it since all the scholarship/grant money will go to the B,A students.
I personally can only get 3200$ for school and our colleges cost thousands. I was told in HS that jobs were evil and none of us should get one and all should go to college. I dont make enough for college and at 18 I was kicked out of my parents and did not have a job.
I had sex for the first time on my 18th birthday, and I have no regrets. It wasn't even a relationship, it was just a guy who I ended up being fwb with for 6 months. I think 16 though.
I lost my virginity at 17, which I believe is a more decent age to have sex. It mostly depends on the maturity of the person. Age doesn't always matter in this type of situation. It's better to have sex with someone who is at least mature enough about having it and knows what they're doing. Most teens, especially today, are immature beyond repair. They should be avoided, if anything.
I don't think it matters what age any individual is.
Really, if we're talking under 40, it matters how close the ages are. Like...a 30+ yr old w/ an 18 year old? no. an 18 yr old w/ an 18 yr old? yes.
Its also my personal opinion that someone under 15 cant consent to sex at all - w/ another 15 yr old or not. Thats just gross.
To me, there isn't a set age. It all depends on the circumstances and situations. But as for me, the threshold before I start feeling really disturbed is 13. 13-15 year olds having sex is a bit iffy for me, though, and without protection it's a big no-no.
I'd say it depends on their mental development. So, in each case I'd decide individually.
I didn't do it till I was 18 therefore i Will teach my children to wait till their ready and hope that my parenting skills will teach them the safe way and that if they do it before high school, they will be in big trouble.
