Let's say you were at a store and someone who was 30 wearing a green shirt was helping you and then you lost them and wanted to find them. You approach another worker and what would you say?

I would just say "lady" in green and maybe add hair color. "Middle aged" is subjective and requires the other person to judge a person's age. That can be very hard.
Thirty is still young. If you say "middle aged woman wearing a green shirt" the worker is going to waste their time looking for someone who looks 40+ and probably be annoyed that you confused them. XD
Depends on how she looks but more toward young. Unless shes a heavy smoker or crackhead or something.

Personally, I would point out the more distinguishable feature on you that can be easily recognizable (clothing, hair color, etc), because no doubt others have noticed it; and a lot of the time it's not age unless you're 80+ and causing an inconvenience somehow. So basically, if you were wearing rainbow spandex with that green shirt, I would be like, "Yeah, I'm looking for a lady in rainbow spandex pants," and the worker would probably point you out very quickly.
I'd have said her age "She looks like she's about 30 wearing a green shirt"

If you noticed what you thought was her age & the colour of her shirt, surely you would've also noticed other things about her? As in, the woman with the short red hair in the green shirt?
Depends how old they look, but I would probably just say lady or woman if they look adult, girl if they look younger than 25. I would never use "middle aged" nor "young" to describe a stranger, that sounds weird.
30-year-old women are still hot. I'd say young, and probably be attracted to them, lol.
Let me guess, you just turned 30 and you're freaking out lol im 26 and 30 still seems young to me. I have friends in their 30s and I dont notice any difference in age
30 is young from where I am standing. Not a kid but sure as heck not middle age.
