Honestly Ive never seen a person I would consider ugly, but then I don't really look all that closely at them. They are like any other animals to me, I find most of them cute.
As for relationship if you want a real one it's a good personality, same as I'm assuming you'd want from a partner? I'd say work on your selfconfidence first, then it comes easier
It's all about symmetry. The subconscious attraction algorithms in everyone's brain are wired to desire perfect symmetry. Projecting sexuality doesn't matter as much. But, it is what people are more conscious of because they can control the process.
I only got about half of that. Most people of certain attributes look roughly the same to me. Do you believe in asexuality, or do you feel it is some kind of defect?

It's a defect. It does not push itself into the gene pool.
