How was your relationship with your siblings when you were a child?

  • Technically, the oldest.

I have a younger brother (almost exactly 2 years younger, he was born 2 days before my birthday). We fought viciously our whole childhood. Only really stopped when he was 13, I was 15. It's improved out of sight. We're not super close, but we can see eye to eye better. We also both can see how fucked up our family is, and that's kind of good to share. He's actually grown up this year, finally at 25, which has me in shock, somewhat. But I'm also quite proud of him.

I have a younger half sister, who is 15 next month. I haven't seen her since she was about 9. It hurts, I didn't see her for much of her childhood because she's my dad's kid and my dad's a cunt. I have a mix of upset/regret/apathy towards the fact that I have no relationship with her now. I talked to her on facebook for a while, she is so different to me at her age, I have trouble relating.

I'm not really supposed to know, I don't think, but I have an older half brother. My dad had a kid before he and mum had me. He would be maybe 30 or so now? I've never met him, I would kind of like to, but I don't know that it would be worth it. I have no idea if his mother kept him or put him up for adoption.
