I would strongly dislike the person stalking me, and would want them to stop.
Seriously? Stalking is so horrific and likely violent, there is no way to call it any thing but!!
Uncomfortable. If someone is stalking you its probably because theyre a bit fucked and are unsafe.
It has happened to me and it was very uncomfortable but I just carried on as usual. I'm not a fearful person and I'm good at outlasting anyone or anything. It's just a very weird feeling when someone is acting so delusional towards you.
I have actually lived this.
Not only that, the person had actually tried to kill me once; and the attempt was accidentally broken up by a fairly new to the force police officer who just was there and stumbled into it.
However, the police officer reacted in such a way making mistakes (as beginners do) that meant that he could not be charged (I'm not complaining - and I'm sure they will do better the next time). But, he did state consistently for over 3 hours in the interview room that he was going to kill me (this was before the modern laws where legal actions could be taken based on such threats).
The cops did warn me and advise me on some things (I could write a whole long post on that).
Anyway, Months later he showed up where I was living some hours away looking for me. He actively stalked me for years. For at least 3 years I was virtually never farther than 3 ft from a handgun and I slept handgun on chest (condition 1) for many years because he was most likely to strike during night. I had most of my belongings in storage (1.5 carloads was all I had). I also moved multiple times (every time I though he found me or even felt no safe). Very expensive: I rented apartments with no annual contract: 3 months rent & Security deposit paid up front; and at time was only there for 1 month.
The State passed a new set of laws regarding threats and about a year later it seemed that he was no longer stalking me. I suspect he made similar threats against others that the police acted on those threats (especially with my case history in the files).
Fear and real concern is what I felt.
Good thing is that I avoided a gunfight. Overall I estimate that it cost me about $50,000 to do that 30 years ago. That wiped out my retirement account at the time (I could not get a normal job as that would pin me to a fixed location).
Another factor: I have always assumed that if there is a gunfight that there's at least a 50% chance I will get shot. The person who gets the drop has an initial 70% advantage. Other than that its most likely a 50-50 proposition. Even with all my training.
You do not want to deal with a real life stalker...
If someone were stalking me I would probably consider the purchase of a firearm. 🤠👍🏻
What counts as stalking? Checking my Facebook page obsessively? I'd maybe feel sad for them, but I do put that stuff out there precisely so people can look at it.
A little bit but ultimately wouldn't care to much. I dont do much and if they got nothing better to do then whatever. If they turn out to be a threat then I'll do with that as it comes up weather or not that works out for me will be determined. Either case I'm gonna live my life as normal
