Agreed with howaminotmyself that it's important to teach him balance. You can set a limit on screen time and what sites he can visit, and encourage involvement in hobbies and activities, including ones in which he'll interact with others.
One thing I noticed that was different between myself and a couple of friends who pretty much became addicted to technology and terrified of socialization is that I was always involved in an extracurricular activity. Figure skating, horseback riding, basketball, playing the violin (not all at once, of course, but I was always involved in one or two at a time). I interacted with others, learned to work towards goals, and was active. IMO, it was very rewarding, too.
