  • You were together before? Who broke up with who?

Just erase him from your life forever. just BLOCK any info from coming in your head. Heck BLOCK thoughts too if possible.

  • Do not go to the wedding! If he loves you he would be with you. Going to the wedding would only make a bad situation worse. Its not fair to you, him, nor is it fair to the bride. This is the reason we have a high divorce rate in the U.S. because of situations like this. All I can say, do not allow him to string you along. In addition, do not be the woman on the side when him and his "soon to be wife" have problems he calls you. Remember, marriage is easy to get into but hard to get out of. For him, its all about keeping his options open. Be careful!!! I know you love him but if you both wanted to be together action speaks louder than words. Don't be the woman he calls just for sex not a good situation.

  • Go to the wedding and just enjoy yourself. Don't be hung up on him that he's getting married. If he really loved you would he be getting married to another woman? Go to the wedding, have fun, realize that he's moving on and you should too, plus you might even meet some nice guys there.

  • I know exactly what your going through. I have known my best friend for 10 years. A month ago she got married to a man she had known for three months. She always said she saw me as a brother but when we would hang out, especially when she had just broken up with someone, she didn't treat me like a brother. Not only did I go to the wedding I was in it. Recently it was his birthday and I don't even know him that well but she invited me to go out with them. I don't know what answer your looking for because I can't tell myself the answer. All I can say is if you truly love him don't do anything to get in the way of the marriage. Be there for him when it's appropriate. And as much as it sucks keep your distance because if not it hurts worse the more you see him. Best of luck! If your ever looking for a date lol jk!

  • Whether you want to go or not is totally up to you. I really have no say in this but like bazwell said it might help you to move on with your life. Although there are many cons to that as well, you might get over-emotional and start crying or just...you get the point. The impact may be strong for you because you said you love this guy a lot. Another would be to just cut off all contact with this guy, move on get a steady relationship with someone and have a wedding of your own!

    Good luck

  • I think going to the wedding may be a good thing for you in this case.

In as much as he says he loves you, and you feel like you "love him too much" this guy is toxic for you. He is getting married, but continues to tell you that he loves you and wants to be with you? This is wrong, it's wicked (to his partner and you) and most of all, it's exploitative.
A person who exploits their position of power or invulnerability is suspect.

I suggest you go to this wedding (and please do not speak when the priest ask objectors to...this guy doesn't sound worth it), let him know at the wedding if you have the chance, that at the very most, he can only be a friend to you and that you will no longer tolerate any more of his manipulation. Say it only if you mean it...then live up to it. It's that simple. Time will take care of the rest, as you gradually begin to refocus on your own life and move on.

    Best of luck to you!
