I've definitely have been there myself! OMG it sucks! It literally took me years to move on.. Anyway.. at least for me I realized in the long run that it was because I started to love him more than myself! Self esteem is so important. When you don't love yourself, no one else will either!
Whether or not this relates to your situation it should give at least some less experienced people some food for thought, so to speak because that is a common problem.. but anyway, I'd suggest working on YOU for now.. Do things for yourself.. for example, start working out, start working on yourself, and do NOT try to jump into another relationship on the rebound because that is the worst possible thing you can do because you're sweeping the core problem under the rug and it will eventually come back to haunt you!
