Money is everything. Because I am in the elite 1%, I will always be superior to you plebeians. But, having a middle class income with a well invested retirement portfolio CAN work in your favor. Quantifying the total lifecycle cost of major purchases, and avoiding unnecessary items that waste money makes a big difference. If you play your hand correctly, you will have international travel experiences, cultural activities, and educational enrichment that few of the 99% are able to obtain.
