    • I don't really believe IQ tests really show the intelligence of a person- or at least it doesn't utilize a people's full potentials.

      • I don't know I always thought I was a dimwit. I am not sure what the tests scores mean. I never understood how it works.

        • 100 is actually the average score on an IQ test.

        • I just don't think the IQ test really tests people's true intelligence level. Just because someone isn't that good at science, math, or other problem-solving subjects IQ tests provide, it doesn't mean they're stupid. There are many factors that can affect how a person does on the test including their environment, learning challenges, or things like anxiety. Some people are able to work out problem quickly while others need more time- it doesn't mean one is smarter or dumber than the other, it's just how their brain works. The IQ test doesn't take some of these factors into consideration which is why I think it's flawed. And there has to something more than math and science that utilizes a person's intelligence. So, "average" on the IQ may mean that you grew up in a pretty normal environment and that learning challenges or mental disabilities have very little or no affect on you. However, I'm not saying a person isn't as smart (or dumb) as they think they are.

          • I did not grow up in a normal environment. Well depends what you consider normal. I spent most of my life fighting. I didn’t really get to learn that much in school. I spent most of my time focusing on who was going to fight apposed to what was going on in class. Actually kids would mess with each other in class too so that did not help either.
