  • I took a fancy test from a website that had ".gov" at the end like 2 and a half years ago, and it said moderate depression.

My attitude hasn't changed a whole lot since then. I'm casually suicidal most of the time.

Not depressed. I visit this site because I like small online communities.

    • I've seen you commenting that you have family issues, but you've yet to bless us with the real gravy of the situation.

I feel for you on the family problems. You should checkout ACOA/ACA.

If you had asked me this about 2 years ago - answer would have been suicidal depression and catastrophic self hate. But things did get better.

So right now - None baby! Just spent a week back home in Bulgaria with my parents - call it a small vacation/ early Easter. I got to spend time with my mum and dad, got to work on my classic BMW, got a ton of work done and I finally got the old girl to start first try and run properly. Installed the upgraded brakes, upgraded sound system and found a guy to make the engine look like new for just 60 bucks.

I also dropped off my broken and tired S600 project car at an old guy who fixes rust and dents. Guy's gonna fix everything for just 350 bucks. Gonna take about 2 months... Just enough until summer vacation, so I can pick the car up myself.

I also got to renew my drivers license (boring), but it meant I had to drive to town in my E420 and drive like a lunatic! Hahahahahaha! 400hp and 950Nm of V8, twin-turbo, tire shredding ecstasy!

First thing I was greeted with in Germany was a call from an old dude, wanting to hire my gardening company to take care of the garden at his massive estate. Guy also has a water feature that needs looking after. This is a gold mine!

And right now I'm drinking whiskey, feeling good about the new client and wasting time on IIN, cause my internet is too slow for a movie tonight.
My girlfriend is coming home from England next week, so my depression right now is zero.

Ask again in about a month, I'll probably be mildly depressed again.

Often moderate (with anxiety medication, since I can go on a downward spiral if I panic)
But it tends to get pretty bad due to family stuff.

I would not say I am depressed. In all seriousness, I don't think I am. But I know how this shit works and am only 20 years old, so I'm sure it will come around and I'll have my share.

Wow finally what we've all been thinking but in poll form..i love it. I'd say the vast majority of regular posters probably suffer from some form of it but I'm sure there are non depressed people here as well.

I'm on here because of a chronic illness that keeps me from having a real life.

No body is going to be honest on this topic.

Used to be bad until I kicked the meds. Those meds brought my 4/10 to 9/10. Now I just have a little bit of existential dread here and there.

    • Ranges from moderate to serious with moments of suicldal thoughts. Are you seeing a therapist?

        • I did for about a year and a half... I finally reached the conclusion that it was all brain chemistry and that I just needed to work out and eat right. It helped a lot but I got off track due to events that were out of my control. I no longer have time to cook or exercise.

Yeah, it was more the reading about it that helped me, I only just started going to therapy (again) after that for social problems (which is another possible explanation for being on this site). I went to 2 others before but they never really helped.
