How quickly do your household go through a loaf of bread?

Living by myself I can go through a honey wheat loaf of bread in two to four days. I'm wondering how long everyone takes in eating a loaf of bread.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

2 or 3 days. There are a lot of people in my house though, sounds like you get through it pretty quick.

Which kind? I have both sliced and I make my own. Fresh bread is devoured in two days tops. The sliced sticks around for about a week. There are four of us eating in my house.

In the summer, the mold allows gets to the bread before we finish it.

2 weeks. I buy an extra large loaf of white bread and keep it in my freezer. I take out only the number of slices I need; they thaw quickly.

Not fast enough, it always goes mouldy unless I get it into the freezer.

I dunno, I just try not to do too many carbohydrates with bread.

You do realize carbohydrates is humans primary energy source. Eating bleached white bread isnt a good source but some whole wheat and rye is a good source for it also iron.

I do eat whole wheat whenever I eat bread. I also like potatoes.

    • I thought you god fearing people lived off bread and wine.

Or if its because of gluten intolerance like Unimortantdude said, then that would suck for you! How will you eat the body of Christ?

You know that's a metaphor right? Bread was just a common food stuff so easiest to procure for the masses.

        Nope.

        Comment Hidden ( show )
    • Why not? You just don't like it or something or are you gluten?

So okay. All would think you are a Eucharistic follower of Jesus of Nazareth. What's the deal? Have you misled us?

This post is about a loaf of bread, not the body, and blood of Christ.

Since your comment has implied mutual exclusivity, I going to assume that gluten is not an issue for you in the celebration of the Paschal Mystery.
