How old were you when you received your first “gun/firearm”?

How old were you when you got your first Gun or weapon in your name? I’d like to carry a weapon wherever I go too!! Is there some kind of license you need to get for carrying a gun or something?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    people just receive free shit?

what kinda commie welfare leechin bullshit is that?

i worked my ass off for everythin i got includin gun money and them fuckers aint cheap

but since you asked i was 20 when i bought an ithaca deerslayer 12 gauge and needed nothin besides a (out of state at the time) drivers license but its not like you can carry that concealed

i live in a constitutional carry state now so no license needed to have a concealed weapon on my person at any time

im not a drug user ive never been institutionalized im not a convicted felon and i dont carry in the post office or bar so theres no disqualifications to it

    14. (Excluding the air rifle I learned gun safety on when I was 10). It was a semi-auto .22 target rifle with a big ass magazine. After a few years, it didn't interest me, so I put it away in storage. Firing rifles gets old, but bearing them is more fun. A 240 year old flintlock rifle hanging over the fireplace would definitely give my family room more class. I wish I had one.

Once I turned 21 my husband took me to a bunch of in-door shooting ranges and bought me the kind I said I like most. It's a 'revolver'

    19. Wasnt "my gun" but for legal purposes it was "my gun" during my watch in the navy.

If that doesnt count than it was when I was 21 and I bought a glock 19.

I've never owned a gun, but I used to carry a butterfly knife when I was in my twenties.

That final question is entirely dependent on your country. If in the u.s entirely dependant in your state

I have 3 guns but none of them are in my name (nor do I have a license for them). First one was bought for me when I was 9 & the other 2 I got when my grandfather died.

I had bb guns since I was probably 8. At 15 I got a single shot Savage 20 gauge. Shot my first deer the next year with it. Ah memories.

The laws vary by location. I bought my first firearm when I turned 18. Before that I would go in on the purchase with my older brother & pay half.
You need to check with your local law enforcement, gun club or gun dealer about the rules in your area.

When I turned 16 my dad gave me the shotgun and rifle his dad gave to him when he was 16. I might give them to my son when he's 16 if hes responsible. I started shooting at the range with my dad around 12 and knew how to break down guns and put them back together.
