I am Southern, but I do not think incest is strictly a southern thing. I think it happens all over the world, from what I have read. I have done a lot of research on the subject, and I do not think any particular region has a monopoly on it. Lots of people think it is gross, and lots of others don't. Some are pretty well neutral, like so what, big deal. I am kind of turned on by it, and I think my wife is too, probably because we were both involved in it. In my case, I think it screwed me up somewhat. I have always been kind of eccentric and weird, and liked anything that was, including incest. But my wife seems pretty normal in most respects, so I don't think her incest hurt her any, despite some of it being definite child abuse by a brother who is 13 years older. I am always hearing that southern people are really incestuous, especially in the Ozark region, but I believe that is really bull. It is a long standing joke in the north that just about everyone in the south is married to a cousin. I have a cousin I would not have minded marrying, but she would not even go all the way with me, due to the taboo. My wife had the hots for some of her good looking cousins, and I think fooled around with at least one a few times. She was once almost raped by an uncle-by-marriage, and this same man had knocked up one of his own daughters. So we both are well aware of a LOT of incest in this area, but if you look on the web, you can find cases from all over the planet. It is perhaps unfortunate that my mom "abused" me and I guess I would have been better off without it, but there is no doubt that I did enjoy the so-called abuse. Oh, well, that's life, so-called.
