How often can i use nail polish remover without doing damage to nails?

Right now I have bright red nail polish on my toenails with a white base coat to help to not stain them. I ask because I am feeling like a change from the red to another color, and I don't want to do (too much) damage to my nails if I can help it... (am also taking a daily biotin pill, to ensure that they remain healthy.)

Just have read many opinions on this and I would like the truth is all...

My remover is a "strengthening and nourishing" variety also, so...

Also if I did a crappie job painting them, I know, I did the best that I could...

Been watching my long-nailed older sister do her amazing nails for years. She usually soaks for a few minutes, then uses the non-acetone (non-smelly) remover. I've also helped her do them, and don't think there's a difference in using cotton balls, tissues, etc, to remove polish.

As a side note...Always do them red!

Has she ever wanted/insisted to do yours in a similar color?

I think it's fine to use it. You won't damage your nails unless you use it all the time, like multiple times a week.

Here are some tips on removing nail polish in random order.

    1. Use non-acetone polish remover.
    2. Dip your nails in warm water for a minute or so to remove polish a bit easier.
    3. With a cotton ball that has polish remover, hold it on your nail for a few seconds before wiping away to make removing polish a bit easier.

Thanks for the tips! My question though more revolves around how often you can use remover w/o doing damage to the nail..? I just worry about changing up the color on my toes is all too often..?

I'm a bit off a perfectionist, so if my nails don't look the way I want it, I'll remover over and over.

In my experience, my fingers get pruney from the water and my nails + skin start to feel dry from the chemicals, so make sure you have cuticle oil.

It's my toes that I was working on, amd they will never be "perfect" as I can't get my legs to sit at the right angle for long enough 4 me to paint them the red shade that they are now...
