How much money is normal to bring to a blackjack table?

Thinking about going to a real casino and playing blackjack. But I have no clue how much cash I should bring to play!! How much money would you bring to play blackjack??

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I probably wouldn't bring anything, because I don't gamble. My mom gambles, and I like it when she wins. I'm too much of a pessimist, and I prefer to spend money on stuff and thangs.

Excluding games like poker, the one certain thing about gambling in a casino is that the House always wins in the end.

Every time I have gambled, I have done nothing other than verified the central limit thereom of statistics, which says your losses will average out to the house take after the number of bets you make. I salute your prowess shooting pool, except the house take in that case is getting charged for the overpriced beer they sell. Don't waste your coal checks.

Well hell, with all those coal bucks, just buy a table and invite the boys over for some evening fun.

Going to a casino and playing once, to say you've done casinos is ok. I get spending a few bucks, but try to avoid gambling. House always wins... Better spend your excess cash on something better.

Visualise building a bonfire and tossing money on it. How much would you be happy to watch burn?

That's how much you should take into the casino with you.

As far as the universe is concerned, you're nothing exceptional, the rules of chance apply to you just as much as anyone else, and the odds always favour the house in any casino.
